Wilfred "Willie" Grimm, 88, of Houston, formerly of Hearne, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Houston. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Sunnyside Cemetery in Calvert, Texas with the Reverend Mickey Fugitt officiating.

Mr. Grimm was born on November 21, 1929 in West, Texas to Evald Fred and Haddie Bertha (Horsak) Grimm. He excelled in high school athletics; he received a football scholarship and set the record for the 100 yard dash. Mr. Grimm was in band, the Brenham Symphony Orchestra, the Boy Scouts, a 32 degree Mason and the Scottish Rite. He married Juanita Singleton on September 10, 1949 and they celebrated over 59 wonderful years together until her death on November 7, 2008. Mr. Grimm was a Catholic.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail van der Ven and her husband, Sjef; granddaughter, Amber Michelle Theroux and her husband, Austin; great granddaughter, Zoe Theroux and great grandsons, Zach Thoman, Brandon Theroux and Beau Theroux.
