Timothy Clay Short, 60 of Marlin, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022. A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home.

Tim was born on December 29, 1961 to Ollie Mike and Frances Loraine (Swinnea) Short in Marlin, Texas. He grew up in Marlin but resided most of his life on a ranch in Perry where he raised exotic deer. This was a passion of his that he enjoyed sharing with his son, Jacob. Tim graduated from Marlin High School in 1980. He worked in the livestock industry as a cattle buyer. Tim enjoyed wildlife rehabilitation and loved nursing animals back to health. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Demi. From gator rides, to sharing watermelon and coke, no one could make him smile quite like she could.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Deborah Thigpen

Survivors include his son, Jacob Holland and wife, Erin of Marlin; granddaughter, Demi Holland of Marlin, grandson, Hollis Holland of Marlin, nephews, Robert Jason Thigpen and wife, Patricia and Michael Todd Thigpen and wife, Necy, numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and host of friends.
