Teresa (Pompa) Cienfuegos, 80, of Marlin, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in a Waco hospital.

Mrs. Cienfuegos was born on October 3, 1943 in La Calera, Estado de Mexico, Mexico to Atanislao and Victoria (Esquivel) Pompa. She married Enrique Carmen Cienfuegos in Luvianos Estado de Mexico, Mexico in 1961 and they celebrated over 47 wonderful years together until his death on June 4, 2008.

Mrs. Cienfuegos worked in the fields with her husband for many years and loved to cook for her family, she loved to sew, quilting, raise chickens, goats, milking her cows, making cheese and playing with her cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and two children.

Survivors include her 7 children; Maria Dolores Cienfuegos, Raymundo Cienfuegos, Hugo Cienfuegos, Carmelo Cienfuegos, Blanca Estela Cienfuegos, Jose Bolivar Cienfuegos and Victoria Cienfuegos,18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 siblings and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
