Ruth Maines, 82 of Waco entered into rest Sunday, October 14, 2012. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Waco with Rev. Reggie Blake officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Visitation will be 6PM – 8PM Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.Ruth was born December 12, 1929 in El Dorado, Ark. to Charles Selman and Sally Lou Harrington Hardin. Ruth loved to dance, do crossword puzzles and cook. But most of all she loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Maines, October 26, 1989, daughter, Marsha Dyer, January 17, 2011, Grandson, Robbie Berberette, October 12, 1991, and great-granddaughter, Bonnie York, March 30, 1992.Survivors include her sons, Bill Maines of Hamilton; Morris Maines and wife Shirlene of Cypress; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.Pallbearers will be Clint Maines, Leslie Berberette, Eric Korsmo, Collin Berberette, Jeff York, and Zack Maines.
