Richard Blocker, 56, passed away peacefully at a nursing home in Marlin.Graveside services were 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Hillcrest Cemetery. A visitation was held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home.Richard was born December 16, 1956 in Marlin, Texas to Jessie and Oscar Blocker. Richard worked for The Light House for the Blind in Waco and Goodwill. One of his favorite things was attending church where he was a member at the Memorial Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed visiting with people and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed all of the activities at the nursing home, especially the parties. Richard will be truly missed by his family and friends alike.He is preceded in death by his parents.Those left to cherish his memory are sister, Linda Guest, and brothers, David Blocker, Raymond Blocker, and Sammy Blocker.The family would like to thank Golden Years Nursing Home, Doctor Scott Crocket and staff at the Falls Community Clinic, and his Trinity Memorial Baptist Church family.Services were entrusted to the care of Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, Texas
