.Nadene Purtell Streater, age 75, passed away with her family at her side, on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the home of her son. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin. Mrs. Streater was born May 11, 1941 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Edd and Lucille Purtell. She married Ross B. Streater on November 28, 1958 in Hugo, Oklahoma, and together they had two children, Beth and Ross Jr.She is preceded in death by her parents , sisters, Frances Bridger, Joy Nutt Gonzales, brother, Edward Purtell, and recently, her husband of 57 years, Ross B. Streater, Sr. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter, Beth Norlie and husband, Mitch of Waco; son, Ross B. Streater, Jr. of Marlin; grandson, Chance Streater, the light of her life, of Marlin; sister, JoAnn Purtell Carpenter of Palacios; and several loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.The family wishes to thank everyone at Kindred at Home Hospice for the excellent care given to our mother.A special thank you goes out to our aunt JoAnn for the compassionate and devoted care you gave to Mom.
