Lucille K. Baresch, 102, of Waco, formerly of Marlin, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Waco. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Perry United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ron Oden officiating. Mrs. Baresch was born on March 24, 1912 in the Perry Community to Carl and Margret (Polster) Kistler. She attended Perry Public schools, graduated Marlin High School in 1929, attended Blinn Junior College and graduated from Baylor University in 1940. From 1931 – 1940 she taught during the school year and attended Baylor University in the summers. She taught in the Alexander Community for several years, briefly in the Perry school, and then in Riesel for a number of years. On December 26, 1949 she married Willie T. Baresch in Perry; he passed away on February 17, 1961. In 1965 she went Lima, Peru and taught in a Methodist Mission School under auspice of Peruvian Methodist Church and returned back to Marlin in 1979. She was a member of Perry United Methodist church and the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
