Harding Otto Kunkel, 92, passed away at his residence in Otto, Texas April 14, 2015.Funeral Services will be Friday 10:00a.m., April 17, at Perry United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Oden officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Marlin, Texas.The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 16, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.Harding was born September 2, 1922 to Otto and Hulda (Nehring) Kunkel in Otto, Texas. He married Dorothea Benke on January 11, 1951. Some of his favorite things were playing 84 dominoes, dancing, gardening, and most of all his family. Harding farmed and ranched at the home place where he was born and lived all of his life.He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 55 years, and siblings, Dan Kunkel, Frieda Fabianke, Esther Mulsow, Adalia Hommel, and Rubie Hommel.Survivors include his children, Donald Kunkel, Darrell Kunkel and wife Joy, and Carol McDonald; grandkids, Levi Kunkel, Ashley Branch and husband Eric, Daniel Kunkel and Lauren McDonald; great grandkids, Ethan and Lucas Branch; special cousin, Bill Kunkel and wife Ann; special friend, Joyce Adkins and several nieces, nephews and other family.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Perry United Methodist Church, 193 County Road 127, Riesel, Texas 76682.Arrangements under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, TX.
