Frieda Kattner, 90, of Riesel entered into rest Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 11, 2013 at Friedens E&R UCC in Riesel with Rev. Paul Sabov officiating. Burial will follow in Riesel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.Frieda was born June 10, 1922 in Riesel to W.C. and Minnie Loewe Voges. She loved to bake, embroider, and was a wonderful seamstress. Most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother. Frieda will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton in 2001, daughter Gayle, grandson Derek, and four brothers.Survivors include her daughters Sheryl Allen and husband Jack of Riesel; Patsy Wright of Riesel; grandchildren, Haley Allen of Dallas; Michael Allen of Riesel; Alishia Wright of Riesel; Marcia Mayfield of China Spring; Shawn Browder of Waco; Caitlin Field of College Station; great grandchildren, Darryan Wright, Gayle Mayfield, and Kaylee Browder. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials may be made to Friedens E&R UCC, P.O. Box 280, Riesel, Texas 76682.
