Evelyn Joyce Rodgers passed on August 27, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 10, 1936, in Riesel, Texas, to Howard and Lillian Rodgers. She was a resident of Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Day, and sons, Milton Harold Jones, Clifton Jerald Jones and Richard Day, Jr. and brother, Azar Rodgers.

Survivors include her daughter Patricia Hale and son, Leland Jones, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rodgers, 2 nephews and numerous cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held at New Hope Cemetery, 5783 W. Lake Creek Road, FM 1860, Riesel, Texas, on September 1, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
