Mr. Eddy Lee Rut, 83, of Riesel, Texas passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Adams Funeral Home with Chaplain Danny Tomlinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday, April 17th at the funeral home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.Mr. Rut was born on November 18, 1933 in Marlin, Texas to John Albert and Mary (Afinowicz) Rut. He was a longtime resident of Falls County. Mr. Rut served served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He worked in construction as crane operator for many years. Mr. Rut was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Vincent Rut in March 2006; sisters, Julie Gurney and Toni Koenig and brothers, John Rut, Jr. and Leon Rut.Survivors include his sisters, Frances Gurney of Houston; Christine Pavalas of Marlin, Jeanie Fogle of Red Oak, Mary Clark and her husband, Dennis of Waco Jo Cross and her husband, James of Belton; brother; Albert James Rut and his wife, Rita of Perry; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and step daughter, Belinda Slovacek and her husband, Steve of Rosebud.The family would like to give a special Thank You to the Providence Hospice Place staff for their care and support given to their brother.Eddy's care giver, Shamera Kirk
