Billye Jo Koester, 88, passed away June 21, 2017 in Marlin, Texas.
Jo was born January 16, 1929 in Bloomingrove, Texas to R.B. and Sally (Hudson) Gardner. She married Milton 'Dick' Koester on January 9, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel. Jo was a stay at home mother until all of her children graduated high school. Once the kids graduated, she took a job at the local grocery store where she worked for many many years.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milton 'Dick' Koester and 6 siblings.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Bass; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Koester, Barbara Gardner and Tommy Gardner; children, Keith Koester and wife Phyllis of Riesel, Kay Koester and fiance David Hogg of Rosebud, and Kevin Koester and wife Peggy of Riesel; grandchildren, Brent Baty, Jason Baty, Lacey Baty, Jared Koester, Grant Koester, Wendy Guenat and fiance Jason Ehlers, Kelly Jo Dudik and husband Adam, and Kelsey Dieterich and husband Ryan; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild due July 20th.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brent Baty, Jared Koester, Grant Koester, Adam Dudik, Ryan Dieterich, Jason Ehlers, and honorary pallbearer, Jason Baty.

Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.The family will recieve friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, at Adams Funeral Home.
