Billy J. Nutt, 81, passed away March 19, 2015 in Waco, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. ,Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home with Garry Nutt officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home.Billy was born in Milam County, Texas, March 11, 1934 to Pearl and Annie Nutt. After 36 years of service, Billy retired from the Department of Transportation. Cooking and dominoes were some of his favorite things to do, but his family was the most important to him. He was like a father figure to many, an outstanding person and will be truly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Billy loved his grandkids and great grandkids.He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Peggy Nehring; and brothers, Jim, Floyd, Bevel, Robert, RD, Kenneth, Tommy, Otis, and Harlan.Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Lou Nell Nutt; son, David Nutt and wife Susie; son-in-law Edd Nehring III; grandchildren, Sherrie Body and husband Jimmy, DJ Nutt, Edd Nehring VI, James Nehring and wife Kayci; great grandchildren, Tyler Body, Kaylin Nutt, Kenzie Body, Karsyn Nutt, Kynnedi Nutt, Korbyn Nutt, Tanner Nehring and Travis Nehring; great great grandson to be Aesyn Keener and a host of other relatives and friends.Arrangements under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, TX.
