Betty J. Gorden of Arlington, formerly of Marlin, went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the age of 60. A Memorial service will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10am at Adams Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Howell to officiate.Betty was born November 22, 1953 in Lott, Texas to parents Steve and Etoy Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Gorden; sisters, Linda Olivera and Joyce Norman; and a brother, Steve Jackson, Jr. "Junior". Betty is survived by her sons, Steve Bethke and his wife Christine of Marlin and Michael Bethke and his wife Crystal of Marlin; brothers, Gary Jackson of Waco, Roy Jackson of Lott, Jimmy Jackson of Marlin, Raymond Jackson of Flat, MS; sister, Barbara Martin of Cleveland, TX; stepchildren, Melissa Hedgepeth, Butch Gorden and Johnny Gorden all residing in the Dallas area. Betty also leaves behind several dear grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
