Annie R. Venagas, 73, of Marlin, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 in Waco. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Marlin with the Reverend Joel Davila officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18th at Adams Funeral Home.Mrs. Venagas was born on February 15, 1944 in Reagan, Texas to Cecil and Mary Salas Rivera. She was a longtime resident of Marlin and a homemaker. Annie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Julian and Jesus Rivera and sons. Benjamin Davila, Jr., Cecil Anthony Davila and Jesse Harold Rivera.Survivors include her husband, Davie Venagas, Sr. of Marlin; daughters, Eva Rivera of Chilton, Texas and Rose Ann Espinoza and her husband, Guillermo, Sr. of Marlin; sons, Alex Rivera of Waco and Davie Venagas, Jr. and his wife, Judy of Marlin; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Rivera of Fort Worth; sisters, Lusia Solis and her husband, Joe of Lott Lupe Morales of Marlin, Susie Martinez of Waco, Mary Lou Stewart and her husband, Jerry of Huntsville and Virginia Fargas and her husband, Richard of Waco and numerous nieces and nephews.
